Wealth Planning: Finding Financial Freedom

by Sean Patrick

Wealth planning: what an odd phrase. How can you plan for wealth? It seems to be something that just comes to you or you were born with, right? On the contrary, wealth planning can be something used by you or any other person in order to achieve financial freedom.

Of course, it is a fact that there are many individuals born into wealth, while there is a significantly less amount of individuals who have acquired it. Although this is true, it is still important to know that it is possible for anyone to achieve wealth through proper “wealth planning”.

One of the most important lessons of wealth planning is that how you think is almost as important as what you do. Consider this: What do Oprah Winfrey, Steve Jobs and Richard Branson have in common? Although theyve all excelled in different industries, theyve risen to the top by 1) having a vision, 2) doing something they truly love, and 3) being positive and persistent.

The first step in wealth planning is to develop that vision for yourself. How do you define wealth? Do you define it as financial freedom, as being free from worries about money? Or is it more important to you to amass possessions, such as a large home? Once youve defined your vision, you can build your wealth planning around it.

Next you need to get working. While wealth planning is something that is appealing to everyone, it requires those with a strong drive and the willingness to continue the wealth planning process for the rest of your life. This is the time in which you decide where your true passion lies. If you don’t have passion in what you’re doing, success will be very difficult to achieve, and even more difficult to continue to pursue for the rest of your life.

Finally, being positive and persistent is essential. Don’t be under the false impression that building wealth is a downhill coast ride. It takes work and it takes a consistent positive attitude. If you are honest about your passion and continue to pursue it, wealth planning will pay off for you.
